While us mortals are living in 2017, this dude is in 2045 living the dream with a life size Augmented Reality (AR) version of Super Mario.

In the video uploaded by Abhishek Singh, who is presumably some sort of futuristic wizard genius, we get to see him play a crazy first person experience through New York’s Central Park as Mario! He’s even dressed in character for that extra touch of authenticity. Sure, he might look like a madman to those passing by, but – well – who cares.

In the custom built project designed for Microsoft’s new Hololens device, Singh has recreated the whole iconic first level including menus, sound effects and animated mushrooms to jump on. If this doesn’t get you excited for the future of AR gaming, absolutely nothing will.

If you’re doubting what your seeing, the project was filmed entirely through the Hololens device with absolutely no post production. What you see is what you get folks. SHUT UP AND TAKE OUR MONEY NOW!
