It’s been 17 years since Australian rock icon, Michael Hutchence left us, but a previously unreleased single has just been released online, giving us a sentimental dose of the former INXS lead singer’s legacy.

The song ‘Friction’, was an unreleased track from a Hutchence’s solo project and is believed to be one of his final recordings before he tragically died in Sydney in 1997.At the time of his death, Hutchence had just completed recording on a solo, self-titled album.

Due to his death, the record’s release was delayed for quite some time and eventually released in 1999. This is the first music that has surfaced in the 15 years since. In typical Michael Hutchence fashion, the ‘new’ song is raunchy with plenty of INXS vibe.
