
Tropfest Is Back From The Dead And Will Return In February 2016
There’s positive news for fans of Tropfest, ‘the worlds largest short film festival’ following the announcement that it was shutting down less than a month before this years event.
It’s been announced today that CGU insurance has stepped up to the plate to revive the event and bring it back in February next year. The event will still take place in Centennial Park with the big day locked in for Valentines day next year, February 14. The perfect date night!

The 2015 festival was scheduled to go ahead today in Sydney’s Centennial Park before festival organiser John Polson discovered a six figure hole in its finances while in discussions with managing director, Michael Laverty. News of the debt meant that everything needed to be swiftly shutdown.
Organises and film personalities including Simon Baker were in Centennial Park today to make the official announcement.
