MAFS’ Ex Virgin Matthew Has A New Girlfriend & Says Lauren Is Sending Him ‘Abusive’ Texts

Married at First Sight’s resident ex virgin Matthew has dropped a massive bombshell, it turns out he has a girlfriend who he’s been dating since December.

Matt appeared on Today this morning debuting a new beard alongside new lady named Annabelle and the two looked very loved up.

It turns out they met in rather strange circumstances. “We actually both met trying out for wrestling,” he told the hosts. “It was doing the show that gave me the confidence to try out for wrestling where I met Annabelle.”

Despite the chaos that has followed ‘Virgin Matthew’ on the reality show, Matt said he didn’t regret taking part.

“I don’t regret doing the experiment for one instant. It taught me so many things about myself, about relationships, about other people,” he said.

“I wouldn’t have the guts to try out for wrestling without the show and I certainly wouldn’t have met Annabelle.”

This isn’t the only tea being spilt by Matt in the past 24 hours. In a chat with Fitzy and Wippa on Nova he revealed that he has been receiving abusive texts from his ex wife Lauren.

“The context of the messages is, well, to put it bluntly, it’s abuse. That’s all it is,” he said.

New girlfriend Annabelle added “Sometimes people just aren’t buying what you’re selling and that doesn’t make you a bad person, and for her I just think that it’s hard and it’s tough and I kind of feel for her a bit to be honest,” she said.

“I don’t think it says anything about her, the way that your [Matthew’s] feelings manifested in the way that they did.”

The news follows Lauren claiming that producers forced her into saying she was an ex lesbian and that her storyline on the show was overshadowed by Matt’s virginity saga.
