#Influencing: Here’s 7 Pics We Expect To See On Schapelle Corby’s New Instagram Account
On the back of her OTT release and return to Aus, everyone’s fave convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby is capitalising on the insane media circus surrounding her life.
Earlier this week Corby (who we’re told is unfortunately not related to Matt Corby), debuted an Instagram account that has quickly skyrocketed in popularity. In a matter of days, the pin-up girl of Kerobokan prison has cracked 180K fans and has an engagement rate (her likes/to followers ratio) sitting well above 10%. In the world of her fellow ‘#instababes’… that’s pretty damn high.
This, of course, puts Schapelle smack-bang in the sweet-spot for some (figuratively) ‘dope’ brand partnerships.
So it got us thinking, now that Schapelle is pretty much an influencer, what kind of pics can we expect to see on her #account in the coming months?
The Classic #AvoCorby. We can’t wait to see which cool Gold Coast cafes Schapelle will be hitting up – and obvs eating for free:

Breaking Bad, Orange Is The New Back, Prison Break – there’s so much Netflix and Stan for Corby to catch up on now she’s home. Cue the sponsorship for a loungewear, pajama or linen brand:

This one just needs to happen. Cummon Ripcurl!

Schapelle put Malindo Air on the map following her recent escapades. There’s no doubt she’ll be reinforcing their brand messaging sometime soon
“Unexpected item in bagging area” – there’s plenty of IG brand potential in Schapelle’s daily struggles as she adjusts to the cool new tech offerings in stores:

I mean, some brand partnerships are too obvious:

If, like many other #influencers, Corby’s going to branch into swimwear, authenticity is key. So, this partnership feels like it could really connect with her target audience.
