CASE OF THE EX? What Exactly Went Down On ‘Married At First Sight’ Last Night

Last night kicked off the new season of Married at First Sight and it was juicier than anyone could have imagined.

During the premiere, we met ‘entrepreneur‘ Jonathan and his new wife Scottish stunner Cheryl – who P.S is my new fave person in the whole world. As the two awkwardly said their ‘I do’s’ at the end of the aisle, they cut to the wedding party and things got a little cray-zay.

Meet Emma. A mysterious blonde, who introduced herself as Jonathan’s sister. No one was buying this and we all assumed she was his ex-girlfriend. Just look at that evil glare.

Turns out: nope. We were wrong. The truth is waaaay more interesting. Emma is the twin sister of Jonathan’s ex. Yes, the twist involves a twin. You can’t write this fucking stuff. Seems like the series-starter is actually a rather tame episode of Passions.

What’s weirder is that Emma told the show’s crew the right person for Jonathan was actually at the reception. So, does that mean his ex was there, and she was just doing the dirty work? #Scandalous

However, speaking to The Fix, Jonathan said Emma and her family came to the wedding, minus the ex, adding: “they thought it was going to be hilarious for me”.

It definitely was entertaining, especially as Cheryl’s sister got all up in Emma’s grill over what she was saying about the Scottish fambam.

“Okay, so you’re talking about someone you don’t know, my beautiful sister,” she clapped back. If Channel 9 know what they’re doing (drama = ratings = yay) then I’m sure this won’t be the last we see of Emma.

Bring on the carnage.
